(PETERBOROUGH) If the Province is willing to open up access to funded physiotherapy for seniors, Canterbury Gardens plans to offer up state-of-the-art facilities.
Currently, seniors living in long-term care facilities and retirement residences have easy access to OHIP-funded physiotherapy. Without an OHIP-funded clinic in Peterborough, seniors who live on their own need to drive out of town to receive care, or they’re out of luck. The Designated Physiotherapy Clinics Association (DPCA) is asking the government to change the rules, allowing for all seniors to have access to care, regardless of their living situation.
